Frequently Asked Questions
Get to know more about my clinical approach, areas of expertise, and contributions to neurodevelopmental care. These FAQs offer insight into my work within the NHS, my research interests, and how I support individuals with ADHD and related conditions.
What is a Shared Care Agreement (SCA)?
A Shared Care Agreement is a formal arrangement between psychiatrists, your GP, and you as the patient, outlining how your ADHD treatment and medication will be managed once your dose is stable. It allows your GP to take over prescribing and monitoring under guidance from psychiatrists.

Will I need an SCA for my medication management?
No, you do not need to have a Shared Care Agreement, but this can be arranged on request.
What is the process for setting up my SCA?
Psychiatrists handle the majority of the work. Once your medication is stable, they write a detailed, formal letter to your GP requesting that they accept the SCA. You will be kept informed every step of the way. They always aim to make this transition as smooth and worry-free as possible for you.
What is your area of expertise?
I specialize in neurodevelopmental disorders, with a particular focus on ADHD. I currently serve as a Consultant for the Barnet ADHD service within the NHS.
What kind of patients do you work with?
I work with individuals across the lifespan who are affected by ADHD and related neurodevelopmental conditions, both in community and secure settings.
Are you involved in any research?
Yes, I have a strong interest in medical research. I have published in peer-reviewed journals and presented my work at national and international conferences.
How do you improve services in the NHS?
I have led and contributed to multiple Quality Improvement projects, helped shape new care pathways—including for ADHD and ASD in Surrey prisons—and worked closely with multidisciplinary teams.
What is your approach to patient care?
My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and patient-centered, ensuring the best outcomes through innovation and teamwork.
